Happiness @ Work Award to Honor Positive Workplaces in the UAE

We have launched the first ‘Happiness @ Work’ Award in the UAE in partnership with Forbes Middle East. This is in line with the UAE happiness strategy, outlined by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.



The Happiness @ Work Award is all set to recognize the quotient of happiness existing among the corporate entities of the region. The award reiterates His Highness Sheikh Mohammed’s vision of making the UAE one of the happiest nations across the world.


With an impressive lineup of eminent judges, the jury will evaluate participating corporates across five different categories including the Best Workplace Wellness Program, the Best Workers Welfare Program, the Best Employee Engagement Program, the Best Work-Life Balance Program, the Best Workplace Sustainability Program. The jury will also pick the Happiest Workplace.


The jury comprises of academicians, corporate consultants and experts in the sustainable sector with vast experience on how to integrate sustainability in the workplace. The jury panel includes Dr. Saamdu Chetri, Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Technology-Kharagpur, West Bengal, India; Dr. Mansoor Anwar Habib, Senior Director of Employee Wellness & Happiness at du; Dr. Yasmin Al Bulushi, Dean of Muscat College in Oman; and Ms. Jane Fiona Cumming, Co-Founding Partner and Director of Article 13 in the UK.


The Awards is open to all the regional private and public-sector companies that propagate positivity and believe that ‘happy employees’ create high performing organizations. Companies can submit their applications under the categories including SME, corporations and public sector.


The winners will be declared on 25 April 2018.
